Today's song is of course is an introduction to The Clash on this blog. Heres a little info about The Clash, there a Brittish punk band who formed in 1976 and disbanded in 1986. When first put together the band consisted of Joe Strummer (lead vocals and rythmn guitar) Terry Chimes (percussions and drums) Mick Jones (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Keith Levene (lead guitar). Then later on that same year they removed Keith and replaced Terry by some dude named Rob Harper. After that in 77 they brought back Terry and then in 77 to 82 they replaced him with Nicky 'Topper' Headon and so on and so on. Heres to say they had a lot of switching and replacing and adding and subtracting problems but whatever. This band was great and made amazing music. They came out with 6 sensational albums The Clash, Give Em' Enough Rope, London Calling Sandinista!, Combat Rock and Cut the Crap. So that's a little bit on The Clash.
Now about the song Hateful which is off the great album London Calling. So to start off, this song is simple, like Anarchy in the UK there isn't much reading between the lines. Its about a relationship between a man and his respected drug dealer. How he can get anything his heart desires and anything he wants but it cost money and its pretty darn expensive so he's calling him hateful. (for those of you who do have a drug dealer you probably think they're hateful too) Anyway enjoy the song.
Thanks for read and if again if anyone reading this has any good bands they'd like to share with me I'll look them up don't be shy to comment. Love to all those music lovers (except pop I just hate that crap)Anonymous

Anarchy in the UK
To start off I'll inform you a little bit on the Sex Pistols. They were an English punk rock band who formed in 1975 and where responsible for starting the punk movement in the UK. (thank you!) They consisted of Johnny Rotten (vocals) Steve Jones (guitarist) Paul Cook (drums) and Glen Matlock (bass) Glen was replaced in 1977 by the very wild Sid Vicious. These young fellows I believe were very amazing and possibly the strangest folks out there. Just look at Johnny! He looks insane with his unblinking stares!
Okay so heres what happened after the band disbanded in 1978. Sid died from a heroin overdose in Febuary 1979. (R.I.P) Johnny, Steve, Paul and Glen all reunited in 1996 for the Filthy Lucre Tour and since 2002 have done a few reunion shows and tours. All of the band members including Mr Sid Vicious were all inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but -heres the best part- they didnt attent the ceremony because they said the museum was "A piss stain" hahaha. You got to love their punk attitude but before these guys became the Sex Pistols they all had hard lives. Being abused, harrased, hospitalized, bullied you name it it happened to them. If you ever want to read up more on Sid Vicious or Johnny Rotten or the Sex Pistols I suggest you get a nice little book called Punk The Whole Story foreword by Deborah Harry.
Anyway on with the song. Todays song is Anarchy in the UK by the very famous, very strange, very punk revolutioners the Sex¨Pistols. This is probably their mosy famous song, if isn't this then it must be God Save the Queen another amazing brilliance and if some of you don't know it then I am sad to say that you trully don't know punk my friends. The Sex Pistols are incredibly famous in the underworld. Possibly one of the first ever punk bands. They were alive with The Clash, god dammit. So if you don't know them heres a great intro into this band. Okay so lets see, this song is exactly its tittle. Johny Rotten wants anarchy and he wants it now. He's saying he is anarchy and the solution to everything is -you guessed it- anarchy. It's not a complicated song, there's no reading between the lines or side stepping the bush. The best way to descirbe this song is by its tittle and there you go you have Anarchy in the UK. So enjoy, live it, learn it, love it.

I Don't Wanna Hear It
A little on Minor Threat well lets see..... there an American hardcore punk band. Formed in 80 and disbanded in 1983. Minor Threat's great song Straight Edge was the base of the straight edge movement believe it or not. They showed the world that you don't have to use drugs even if you're in a hardcore punk band.
But today I'm not talking about their song Straight Edge I'm here to talk about I Don't Wanna Hear It off the album Two 7's on a 12 which is actually just two EP's made into one album. This is song is about being in a relationship with someone who is cheating and telling you lies. Its an angry song (like all of Minor Threat's songs) and its poweful. Its simple and fun to just dance to and destroy things to. If ever your just feeling pissed off at anyone lying to you and giving you bullshit you just play this song and let the lyrics and anger carry you away! So go ahead break a lamp and punch a wall. This song is made for that.
So go have some awesome fun!!!!

Joker in the Pack
A litte about the Adicts. Okay here we go. Were an English punk band and were one of the famous punk rock bands in the 80's.There original name was Afterbirth & The Pinz and they changed there name later on several times to Fun Adicts and ADX. They came out with the albums Songs of Praise, Sound of Music, Smart Alex, Fifth Overture, Twenty-Seven, Rise and Shine, Rollercoaster, Songs of Praise 25th Anniversary Edittion and Life Goes On.
Okay so now that you know a bit about the Adicts I'll begin. I'm writing about Joker in the Pack. Most of you probably have never heard of it or some of you probably have but either way its a great song about fitting in and being accepted into a clique but its also about having a secret side. Every time I hear this song I can't help but think about someone wild and dangerous. A rebel being accepted into a 'popular crowd' making them trust him and then BAM! He turns on them or something. I guess its the way Monkey dresses that makes me think that way, with his joker makeup, his bright clothes, his bowler hat and cloves he looks like a mischevious devil. Maybe its just my imagination and I'm making a big deal out of nothing and this song is reallly only about being a joker. A class clown. Anyway a few things are certain It's a great song. Its about being a wild child and being a funny little smart ass. (Something I am very often) Anyway enjoy. This probably won't be the last time I mention The Adicts.
PS ignore the weird intro speaking thing at the begining of the video its not actually a part of the song, I don't really know why it's there. You could just skip that small part its only a few seconds and go to the actual song

J.O.S
Okay so normally I would write a bit about Green Day but there is way too much to write about and I think that I'm proably going to babble on and on about this song (J.O.S.) for around and hour, or a good paragraph or two. So..... ya. There a great band and they formed in 1987 they consit of Tré Cool (drums) Mike Dirnt (bass) and Billie Joe Armstrong (lead guitar and lead vocals) they also have there touring members Jason White (lead guitar, rythmn guitar, piano) Jeff Matika (rythmn guitar, acoustic guitar) and Jason Freese (keyboards, piano, trombone, saxophone). Green Day has come out with the records 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, Warning, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown.
So now I may speak of the song. It is Jesus of Suburbia. A beautiful song written by Billie Joe Armstrong and perfomed by Green Day on the wonderful, emotionally impacting album American Idiot which was released in 2004. This song is 9 minutes long and includes 5 parts, Jesus of Suburbia, City of the Damned, I Don't Care, Dearly Beloved, Tales of Another Broken Home. There are 2 videos for this song, one is nearly 12 minutes long with dialogue and the other is 9 minutes with no dialogue but with subtittles. Its an amazing song, writting about the confusions, loves and hates of this young character, the Jesus of Suburbia also known as St Jimmy but I'm not going further into that today. Its about a boy, a rebel child, who's confused about our world and everyone in it. Mostly angry, he rants about everything. Its the introduction in the album to this character and his life. Its a sensational song and if you havent listenned to it yet, you should. Its angry, its real, its life in the eyes of this modern day Jesus of the streets and junkies. I am a true disciple of the Jesus of Suburbia (though only a character created by the mind of Billie Joe Armstrong he seems so real) and once you listen to this song you will think he's real too. Its amazing how the very talented Billie Joe Armstrong can make this character fit in life so well all while being a misfit. So go to the nearest record store and buy American Idiot, put it on and go to the second track of the album and listen to this beautiful master piece or watch the video bellow (this is the12 minute one with dialogue and an intro with whatsername). Its real and its true and its art. Its just so fanominal...... its undescribable.
If anyone reading this has any song requests or album requests or just some band to request for me to listen to post it in the comments bellow and I'll happily look it up and listen to it and write about it.
